If we are talking abt cheating, ahem, cough cough, steroids,
I’m sick of going to the gym and seeing people lean so far backwards when
they do lat pulldowns. They are almost vertical to the floor! No wonder
they can lift more weight with that technique
I really have trouble with lateral raises…
I use less range of motion than that on chinups and my lats are massive,
but I respond well to lower rep, stupid heavy training.(with proper form
and technique of course) I do realize not everyone does well this way and
Jeff is the guy to watch when it comes to optimal performance of exercises.
I will admit it took me years to realize my form was lacking on medial delt
exercises. Cable crossovers with the pulleys set to the floor and about a
15 degree bend in my lumbar spine worked wonders on my medial delts. You
just have to watch guys like Jeff and experiment then wonderful things can
happen.

I agree. I’ve seen most people wasting time in the gym and do pointless
exercises with no results. Once you real train hard you notice it simply by
the amount of sweat and by the fact that you can feel the after burn
effect. For example after training my arms I literally shake and almost
cannot lift my arms to wash myself in the shower…

Could you please do a video about deadlifts and bench press/s, also about
coming back into training post injury whilst touching on nutrition about
how many calories or how many times a day you should train a day including
say 3 cardio sessions you used to do if your coming into weights again for
upper body do you cut off one session whilst adding one in the weights or
train twice ?
My dumb ass friend told me a while ago that when you do rope pull downs ur
supposed to pull the ends of the rope like out to the side versus just
going straight down.
This is actually pretty hilarious, especially the chin-up one. Specifically
because we all know we’ve done these sometime or the other. :P
I honestly hate going to the gym with people around now, I like being a bit
more creative with my workouts now watching Jeff and it feels amazing. But
some ignorant bigger people would come up to me like “You’re using that
wrong.” and I’d just be thinking, this guys just another big idiot that has
no idea what he’s really doing and probably took him ages longer than it
needed for him to get where he is.
you always mention you should train the way your body like to train. So
should you go heavy and let these muscles that like to work together
contribute or go lighter and focus on the target muscles. OR just a mixture
of both, probably a mixture i think
The no 1 mistake I see as to why people use bad form is ego lifting.
Lifting more weights than they can’t handle in good form. They swing
wildly, and set themselves up for injuries and Little gains.

I am really impressed with your physique. I assume you’re natural based on
how damned solid your form is (let’s be real, “enhanced” training mitigates
the importance of form to a surprising degree and we’ve all seen muscle
monsters doing terrible workouts to get their impossible bodies). Great job
and amazing show of your dedication. I learn a ton watching your channel,

I’d love to see a video focused on recovery and best practices for
maximizing gains in downtime. What sorts of activities are fine for active
recovery and which are to be avoided, how to eat on days when you’re not
lifting but you are healing (since your caloric needs and nutrition are
pretty different on those types of days)… Anything you could think of,
too, obviously.
I’ve actually trained at home most of my life but recently I joined a local
gym because I don’t have enough weight at home and what you are saying
makes complete sense to me and I never want to cheat myself. I have got a
lot of strange looks from people when I do most of my stuff cause I’m not
using much weight and I go slow and focused. We’ll see in the weeks and
months to come if they follow my lead
Jeff in the front raises how high up can you go? And also I sometimes bend
my knees and push a little with my legs like a mini squat to bring the

Cheats are fine as long as they are safe cheats.The benefit of a cheat may
be greater than proper form as long you are not doing something stupid to
hurt yourself.
On barbell curls I see people using there backs and if you think you do
this start out using a wall to lean on so that back isnt a bother

Jeff i am an ectomorph with really long forearms, my shoulders hurt when i
go down for a pushup because the angle my elbows point up at is so sharp

I am 6’3 and weight 141 lbs… really REALLY skinny, but I started hiting

places I have read that it is good to divide your body in upper and lower
sections and work two days and resting one… on the other hand I have read
that it is better to train your whole body in one training session and

I already knew this stuff and do everything except take creatine because I
see it as a way of cheating. I go completely natural and no supplements at
all and I still make lean muscle gains. Good video though, I just don’t
believe you should take creatine plus it costs a good bit of money.
