Hydrocodone is not effective on everyone. It does nothing for me but make
me itch. I could drink a glass of water for what good HCD does. Codeine
helps me and is a medication I’ve taken over the years. What I’ve ran into
now is I have IBS and sever e headaches that require medication. I use
the codeine for all three. My pain doctor, though I’ve told her I take it
for more than just the back. I understand these narcotics are addicting.
I don’t care. I don’t want to hurt. I won’t OD on it. I don’t want to
lose my medicine. I was given Dilaudid IV in the hospital for a GI issue
and that made me sick as a dog! That was about the 3rd dose. No more of
that.
I am a nurse. They harped at us that pain relief was so important. And
now, they have pulled back and seems they want you to hurt. I don’t get
it.
My pain management doctor gives me 30 5/325 Norcos a month with 3 refills
(no early refills), plus muscle relaxers and an NSAID cream. It works well
for me. I can see why some may need more, but no one should need more than
3 Norcos a day, every day. This woman is an example of an addict. Sometimes
you have to be in pain and sometimes you have to look at alternatives such
as creams, muscle relaxers, hot baths, massages and exercise/stretching in
addition to the narcotics.
She would Not Know Pain if it Hit Her in the Face ?
If you have Real Pain you should Not take Extra Pill,s you should have
enough to Last you till your Next Doctor,s Appointment ? You Dont Get With
Draws if your Pain is Real Pain Been There for the Last 30 Years
First he’s says its a new program than he says its been there for a while
While I get that this doc is trying to educate, I also feel he is going
about it all wrong! I’m sure there are real patients out there like this;
but she is not the typical! I don’t know any legitimate doc that would give
this woman anything after talking to her! By using her as an example of a
pain patient all he is doing is making real patients look like jokes & drug
seekers!! We are judged & treated bad enough by everyone already w/o him
adding fuel to the fire!! I am so tired of constantly having to explain
and/or justify my need for pain relief! If he wants to “help” docs, then he
needs to tell the truth & show the reality of what is being done to
thousands of LEGITIMATE, VALID, COMPLIANT, patients on a daily basis!!
yoga or meditation hahaha what a joke, someone who has suffered and gone
through pain for as long as I have to the degree I have that’s a joke.
She is an addict I can tell by the way she’s acting but she’s not a very
good actress. I am not saying that there is anything. Wrong with her, being
an addict is a disease and those people need help
Drs got swag
Total bs… very bad actress.. an addict wouldn’t say and do these things.
The doctor failed to mention the tylenol in the lortab on a regular basis
is bad for the liver. The doctors are ruled by big pharma… and
furthermore lortab isn’t prescribed that much anymore because of the
tylenol and the amount prescribed daily by the doctor. BS! I am surprised
he didn’t leave the room to get some lunch brought in by some damn drug
rep!
When the pill lasts 4-6 hrs, and you give her 12-18 hours worth, you need
to give her enough so she won’t need to run out.
This is propaganda very bad acting, ignorant selfish and cruel, This hurts
everyone outlook that takes pain medication, I’m not talking about the
contacts, I’m talking about the patient she is really trying hard to make
a@ as of pain patients not cool, what’s next someone drulling on them self.
The stupid number evaluation is very unreliable. If you can avoid taking
opioids do so at all costs. Many have gained tremendous relief and been
able to work. But the difference between physical dependence and addiction
should be explained. If you can’t agree to a set of rules stick to
ibuprofen. She sounds like an abuser.
The doctor was wearing the same shirt and ties in the three videos I saw
with this patient, and the patient was wearing the same tee and boots in
two of the three videos. Do you really think the average patient wanting a
prescription refill would be so blatant about feeling like she was being
accused of being a drug addict on the initial or second appointment? This
is scripted, and neither one of them would win an Oscar.
I suffer with chronic pain from Arthritis and it’s a living breathing
hell. First of all he’s trying to work with her, he’s not taking her off
her pain meds an she is saying she is running out before the month is up?
Then she is not managing her medications because there should be a some
left over. It’s not so bad having to sign something to protect yourself and
urine samples plus bringing in left over bottles and pills. If all thee
above i stated and it’s not scripted ( an act ) for our benefit.
Don’t blame patients because doctors don’t have a non narcotic pain killer
that works to prescribe in place of opioids,if you have a valid condition
that keeps you in pain every waking moment of course your going to be
addicted not only to the substance it self but to the feeling of no
pain,Why should a person have to be treated like addict because there in
pain .pharmacy’s need to develop a replacement that actually works This
increase in pill addiction and over dosing is a problem that solely is the
fault of pharmaceuticals manufacture s and doctors addicts are created not
born if I had the choice of taking a non narcotic substance that actually
did work I would take it in till then stop making me fill that I have to
beg a doctor to relieve
my chronic pain
In 12 years of going to a pain Doctor I only had ONE drug test. This Lady
shounds just like I was. Fuck all the pain Doctor’s You will end up far
worse than when The first day you walked in that office. Be careful for
what you wish for.
Yea she’s knows all about addiction. I went to a pain Doctor for 12 years.
The ass had me on over 800 pain pills a month. Everyone that goes to a pain
Doctor will become addicted they no other way to put it. you bet your last
dollar she will be out before hear next appointment. Oh yea, if you get
pulled over by the police and they take your blood. You get a DUI. Why
don’t you tell your patients this?
