I have been saying okay, this is my last pack for the past 2 months now.
It’s getting worse…
I start coughing. And it seems the only way for it to stop is to smoke
again. I need some serious advice from someone that has quit with the
similar experience please. It would help a lot. I want to quit so bad but
it’s so hard for me!! Any advice will be noted. Thank you so much.
I’m 22 and I’ve been smoking for about 6 years, which is scary to think
about. I want to quit, and I’ve heard that the best way to stop an
addiction is to replace it with something else. I have some seriously
ritualistic trigger times, that are so engrained, that I think an e
cigarette would be the best choice for now. Now, although it may be the
case that e cigs are not the healthiest, it’s surely true that they’re much
better than cigarettes, correct? Thanks for the video!
yeah, what’s this cost, this is an advertisement. screw this.
David Letterman?
This video really is amazing and thank you so much mike and your friends
for making it, im not going to give up giving up!! i need to quit for
health reason so i have the motivation but its still hard! i will beat
this!

few associated with it and couldnt smoke in jail. Now everytime I smell a
cig and I can smell it from miles away and its gross. I quit
when i start to quit smoking i always feel horrible after a time… and
then theres those times where i have to write exams and i think im not
gonna make them becuase im feeling so sick… then i start smoking again.
and i never get out of that stupid circle ._.
What about detox? I know it’s kind of a stupid question and a no brainer
for some but I do not know. I’m just now studying on how to quit. I wanna
know if detox is a good route or if it helps at all in the slightest bit?
Any info helps.
The best way to quit smoking is to not start. Sorry, I enjoy giving
worthless advice from time to time.
Great video, though.
Awesome video.
I used to smoke, party hard, alcohol and marijuana from my 18 to my 25. I
then stopped. The first weeks were a nightmare. I smoked two packs of
cigarettes from my 25 to 26 and a couple of joints, but didn’t touch to
alcohol. It was already a major step because I used to smoke 10 joints a
day and a pack of cigarette, and probably drink a dozen of beers.
I’m 27 now, and since last year, I didn’t touch to a cigarette or joint, I
only had one beer
It makes me feel proud of myself. I’m trying to do more sports and my
pocket is also breathing, now I can go to cinema lol.
I quit a month ago cold turkey, and as hard as it was, i would be damned if
i put another cigarette in my mouth.
It has been 15 years since i started smoking and i find it impossible to
quit right now. There’s a fight between me and my cravings, the nicotine
craving is a sensation, exactly like hunger or thirst. It’s a challenge not
to smoke for 4 hours and i really can’t quit. The solution for me: buy a
boat, head into the storm, get thrown on a deserted island with no
cigarettes or matches…Even then i would dry some leaves, learn how to
make fire with sticks and smoke those dry leaves :)) I hate my life as a
smoker.
A smoker need to quit atleast 10 years to reduce the cancer risk by 50% ,
it’s not worth smoking , quit it before it’s too late
This video is good. I will quit today or tomorrow.
I have already know what I need to know. I still afraid.
It is like a losing friend or patrner who is 8 years old relationship.
I know this thoughts are nounsense . But I can not tell my brain.
I have been smoking only a year and a half! I am 26. I don’t smoke at all
when I with with my bf and I can go days without them when I am with him,
yet when I go home I have one =( ……I think I can quit, I know I can but
when I am with my friend I always crack and have one, most of my friends
smoke, except my bf , but I think I can quit now so hopefully I shall come
back here and update my progress lol wish me luck! I should have never
started!! Its yucky!
I gave up cigarettes cold turkey after 20 years without any nicotine
replacement aids and it was easier than I thought it would be. I was
expecting the nicotine withdrawal to be really bad but in truth I didn’t
really notice it that much. The hardest part was changing my daily routine
which felt weird to begin with but after a couple of weeks it started to
feel a bit more natural and I could start enjoying the benefits of not
smoking. I don’t want to sound preachy here but if you are looking for an
incentive to quit, apart from the obvious health benefits, just think of
the money you’ll save, not having to go outside and freeze in winter, not
having to think about always having a lighter or how many ciggies you’ve
got left, not having to deal with people who are offended by your air
pollution, or your stinky, acrid breath! But most of all, you have
the satisfaction of no longer being slugged with a huge tax by the
government while the rest of your hard earned dollars go to a cigarette
company that is thriving on your continued addiction to their product. You
can be free of it, all you need to do is simply not put them in your mouth.
I liked everything about this video
This video actually made it ten times easier for me!
Quitting is a process which need strategic planning and alternative choices
in the daily routine !
Thanks for the video.
Informative video but I still think that it concentrates a bit too much on
nicotine.
As someone who switched from cigs to e-cigs (there is comparable ammounts
of pure nicotine in my e-cigs), I can tell you that nicotine on its own
does NOT give you the same high, it does not give you the same throat or
lung feel and it does not satisfy your craving the same way cigarettes do.
There are thousands of other chemicals in cigarette smoke and I´m surprised
that there is no conclusive scientific research on which combination of
these actually cause the highly addictive effect of cigarette smoke.
I´m not denying the effects of nicotine but me and tons of others feel that
it`s only a smaller part of cigarette addiction.
Think about it, if nicotine was the only problem, everyone could quit with
nicotine patches.
A newer studies even says that patches don`t help at all (which was also my
personal experience).
That being said, everyone who tried and couldn`t manage to quit otherwise,
I encourage you to give e-cigs a try.
They still somewhat satisfy your habit of grabbing and inhaling something
and you can decide the ammount of nicotine you put in them.
And remember, you are not weak or lacking will power if you can`t stop
smoking.
Nature is amazing but it isn`t perfect.
I’ve smoked since about the age of 14 and I’m now 34. I’ve always been
fairly slim (5 foot 7 in height weighing from 130 lbs – 138 lbs) and it was
definitely due to the smoking killing my appetite. I’d been told this on a
few occasions but never really took it seriously. I just assumed I was
built that way but I can now see just how much nicotine kills your appetite
effecting your weight. I gave up smoking a couple of months ago and I’ve
already gone from 135 lbs – 150 lbs. My appetite has come back with a
vengeance. I find that I can now eat breakfast which seems to make me want
to ear throughout the day.
Being male and slim anyway, this is a positive for me but women looking to
stop smoking but not put on weight should definitely take this into
account. Try eating more watery stuff like fruit I guess.
3:20 Some interesting information.
thanks friend
Watch the smoker’s lungs vs normal lungs video. I reduced from 6 a day to 1
in 2 days over a period of 30 days by learning to play flute. Make ur life
more musical there are many videos in youtube that teach how to play a
flute.
Pick any instrument of ur choice which uses air from the lungs. All these
instruments need you to blow air and not suck, This will change the mind
and body wanting it to blow than suck on a Cig. As your skill increases,
the less u ll need a Cig.
