I am kicking this off with a BBC documentary on tactical medicine: Frontline
Medicine- episode 1- Survival
Ah man, into the bone.
Everyone needs to watch this and then tell me that all of our countries are
doing enough to help people with PTSD.
This is very interesting. From just the first 15 minutes you can see the
major changes. MRI scans means they don’t have to do unneeded exploratory
surgery and removing the death resulting from that.
Also note the sheer number of people working on one patient. With a higher
casualty rate that wouldn’t be possible in a more intense combat
environment. Say WWII where whole platoons, battalions, etc would suffer
heavy losses within a few hours.
This program was fascinating on several different levels. God bless the men
and women that get up every day knowing there will be a seemingly endless
supply of seriously wounded young people to care for and still manage to do
it day after bloody sad day.

what happens (behind the scenes)
A comparison: Bin Laden murdered about 3k Americans. The Pentagon admits
that the war that the George Walker Bush ordered had over 4k American
soldiers (read: Americans) killed, not counting the injured and any of the
Iraqi side or U.S. contractors. Yet, the Americans still do not want to
change their political system…

I’ve been a Paramedic for 30 years and I can tell you this is cutting edge
life saving right here. Not just the new techniques and procedures that
each patient has taught to these medical personnel, but the field medics
timing in getting the injured to the medical base.
at about 15min, the poor soldier looked so miserable. thanks to modern
medicine technology he was saved
It is absolutely great that Doctors can help their patients without having
to worry about lawyers interrupting care or involved in it. That is the way
to practice medicine! Great job! My respect and admiration to all the
medical personel involve here!

death struggle That was looking at it from a few dozen metres away after
