Very interesting Suhail ahmad on the history of Tcm and cupping! Was not
aware that it came from the middle east. I use cupping and acupuncture
however I have learned the Ayurvedic style called marma puncture. Not so
sure the Chinese invented the acupuncture part either as it is mentioned in
the Rig Veda, worlds oldest scriptures found in India written on palm leaf.
There are also very detailed descriptions of needling, called sira vedana
or suchi karma in Sushruta Samhita Ayurvedic scriptures written around 6th
century BC and translated into Arabic a couple hundred years later. I more
believe the Chinese developed acupuncture into what it is today a fully
numbered meridian system. Needling was known by mankind since time
immemorial and of course they also enjoyed sharing knowledge just like we
do today. And they would have developed different trends depending on local
conditions.
This makes me very sad to see such immature and uneducated reporting on
health news and particularly acupuncture and Chinese medicine. She might be
cute to look at but everything coming out of her mouth is beyond childish.
As for the skeptic remarks, well what can I say folks…ignorance is bliss
Great Video Melissa. It is funny to see skeptical responses in this day and
age. Perhaps you can only maintain a skeptical position if you have not
investigated something for yourself. Even Western Doctors now commonly
refer to Acupuncturists and Herbalists for conditions that do not respond
to Antibiotics, Steroids or HRT and other drugs.Chinese Medicine may be a
4000 year old fad that keeps growing in spite of disbelievers. I think
healthy skepticism is useful but you have to check it out to be scientific.
I know there’s an experiment that concludes acupuncture = placebo being
taught in schools. With this many people believing in it without thinking
has proven that people of this time are just intellectually inept. How
could the factor of placebo enter a controlled experiment unless those
“scientist” had the intention of labeling this technique as placebo in the
first place? And doesn’t the result merely mean that placebos could mimic
the effects of acupuncture? How come it’s the other way around? I’m going
to stop here because writing this is just too ego-boosting.
Acupuncture is simple: it’s the tweaking of bio-electricity of the human
body. It’s been proven through scientific devices that acupuncture points
hold greater electrical resistance than other parts of the body. I’ll let
you start your thinking from here.
Bunch of people yelping SCIENCE but in fact are just taking knowledge for
granted without questioning it or experimenting it or experiencing it. You
aren’t true followers of science, but blind followers of authority. Your
science is a dead thing handed to you, and that’s fine because you never
doubt what you learn, as you are that gullible average Joe who’d take a man
in a lab coat as a doctor for the sake of appearance BECAUSE YOU DON’T
THINK.
Money > Science.
is she scottish?
waw, i like your video, i hope to learn more about Acupuncture

Acupuncture is awesome but I want to try cup therapy!
I’m learning tcm now……..
Thanks for these post! Acupuncture is an old method of treating illnesses
by inserting specialized needles into specific points across you body
considered to be significant intersections where your vital energy or qi
flows through.
Sounds like a good start!
impressive ..
Acupuncture may help with your pain, yes. I recommend having a qualified
Dr. of Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncturist evaluate you to see if
acupuncture is a suitable treatment for you.
Great video!! I am an Acupuncturist in CT. Where did you get that tongue
book?
Her accent reminds me of Amy pond……… AMY POND :’(
It’s not scary at all. And should not be painful either, as you can see by
her response here.
ah I see….well I found out the cause to my back pain and headaches!! I
have an extra vertebrae in my lower back and my headaches are caused by a
reversal of the curve structure in my neck…..and the top is fused with my
skull…so yeah if small needles can help with them issues lol I’d be
amazed!!
Acupuncture can help loosen tight muscles, improve local blood flow to the
area, and change (reduce or eliminate) pain signals to the brain. Cupping
can help in the same way. Think of it like a reverse massage. Instead of
pushing into the muscles, it lifts and stretches them.
Well I’m just starting sessions with the chiropractor now….hes the one
who gave me the answers…not the doctors -.- so hopefully he can help then
if it doesn’t I will definitely ask about acupuncture
