My mother has this problem, but there’s a jewel on the ring and it has cut
into her swollen finger, making it into flaps of flesh (somehow the ring
got bent). Looks like she’ll need to cut the ring.

They tried this on my mom at the hospital with no luck at all. They ended
up having to cut the ring that was in our family for over 200 years off.
Totally upset my mom over it as the ring can’t be repaired due to its age
and type of metal it’s made out of. Kinda wish they could have tried it
with lubricant or a wider ribbon first as they used fine sewing thread.

my daughters God mother who is practically my best friend gave me a ring
about 12-13 years ago. it started to wear of and turn bronze and black
because I use cream for my body which has grease. its been in my wardrobe
for years and my daughter found it last night. Me and her father said she
could have it so she came on youtube and research how you could clean it
and she cleaned it so it was back to its natural colour. she put it on but
the ring is so small because her God mother is so skinny she has skinny
fingers. and my daughter has slightly bigger fingers than her so it went
down to her knuckles and she had to force it down to the end. she woke up
and it was stuck on her finger we tried and tried everything nothing
worked.We came on youtube and found this video and it saved our lives. her
father wasn’t happy with her and was scared we would have to get the ring
cut. we got it passed her knuckles and it would of slipped off but what
happened was the rest of her finger was really swollen so it was hard fat
and purple. but we eventually got it off but it wouldn’t of passed her
knuckles if it wasn’t for you so thank you.

I did this with a piece of ribbon and it didn’t injure me at all; worked
great. Just have to commit and pull hard – don’t stop until it’s off.
